FEDE is participating in the World Forum for Democracy “Democracy and Equality: What is the Role of Education?”

As an International Non-Governmental Organization enjoying participatory status with the Council of Europe, the FEDE participated in the World Forum for Democracy in Strasbourg (November 7-9). Education is essential for democratic societies. In principle, the higher the education level is, the more citizens participate in elections and other aspects of a democratic society. Student success at the Canvas school!

Canvas is a school member of the FEDE, based in Lausanne (Switzerland) and offering training in the sectors of fashion, graphic design and illustration. Lucien, one of its European bachelor students in Visual Arts (FEDE diploma) participating in the BDFil, Swiss comic strip festival and won 2nd place in the category “New talent” on the theme of “Migration”. The FEDE is participating in the regional European conference of the IACBE

The FEDE is participating in the regional European conference of the IACBE (International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education) on the theme: Beyond the walls – the future of business education. The FEDE is a partner of the IACBE, American accreditation organization, which depends on the American CHEA (Council for Higher Education Accreditation). FEDE and the Pro Bono Lab

Following the European Pro Bono Summit in which the FEDE participated, we continue holding talks with associations and organizations in the sector. Established in 2011, the Pro Bono Lab association is a citizen-based innovation laboratory specialized in skills-based volunteer work and sponsorship, and whose ambition is to enable organizations with a social vocation to gain access to the skills they need. To this end, the Pro Bono Lab invents and engages in  innovative involvement formats through cooperation with companies, foundations, associations, communities, universities and higher learning institutions, in France and internationally. In 2015, the Pro Bono Lab launched its endowment fund to pursue activities in research, education and dissemination of knowledge, in order to involve as many people as possible. Marie graduated in 2014 with a FEDE (DEESTH) Bachelors in European Tourism and the Hotel Industry, a former student of the “Grand Sud Formation” school, a FEDE school based in Toulouse, France. Marie’s successful professional insertion began during her courses at the “Grand Sud Formation” with an internship at Châteaux & Hôtels Collection, a worldwide reference for hotels of charm and gourmet dining in Europe with a network of more than 700 members, present in 16 countries. The FEDE is invited to the 1st European Summit on Pro Bono in Paris

“Together we prepare the future!” is the ambition of the first European Summit on Pro Bono organized in Paris, on the theme of the community in public action. The FEDE is proud to participate and associate with this initiative, which is targeted to promote in co-construction with public institutions, individual actions of citizens and the community for the good of the public and the public interest.
