Gérard Laizé: A theoretician and practitioner, at one and the same time

Gérard Laizé is a member of the panel of experts of the FEDE ; Here he introduces himself both as a theoretician and as a practitioner specializing in cultural and artistic practices.

Gérard Laizé is currently the founding President of Designer’s election, advising in prospective and innovation strategy. He was the Managing Director of VIA (Valorisation of Innovation and Creation in the arrangement of, and furnishing, of living spaces) from November 1994 to July 2015. He also served as Marketing Director in industry and distribution, in France and abroad for more than twenty years. His work in forward thinking is the subject of publications and conferences in various schools of commerce and creation, universities, conventions and professional meetings, in France and abroad. He is the author of numerous books, notably in the “Domovision” and “Design &” collections. He has been the curator of more than 150 exhibitions valuing creativity and the French spirit in many countries of the world. He is also a member of the Scientific and Cultural Council of the National Institute of Crafts, a member of the Academic Affairs Council of the French Institute of Fashion (IFM), a member of the Innovation Committee of the Paul Bocuse Institute and member of the Consultative Commission for the acquisition of National Furniture and Manufactures.

He is a Chevalier dans l’Ordre National du Mérite. (A Knight of the National Order of Merit).
