Meet Sandrine Malozon, member of the managerial team at the Ecole des sciences et techniques commerciales (ESTC) in Marseille.<\/p>\n
What did you study? <\/strong><\/p>\n I have a PhD in sociology (with a focus on education) from the Universit\u00e9 Marc Bloch in Strasbourg (2014). I also have a DEA from the Universit\u00e9 d\u2019Aix-en-Provence. My research focuses on inequality in what and where people choose to study.<\/p>\n What have been the highlights of your career?\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n I\u2019ve always taught. Following my DEA I taught French at a college in Strasbourg. Later, from 2010-2016, I was lecturer and researcher at the Ecole Sup\u00e9rieure de Commerce d\u2019Amiens, where I headed a department researching workplace behaviour.<\/p>\n What is your current job role?\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n I\u2019m Education and Quality Manager. My role can involve anything from designing programmes, providing student support, and liaising with parents and administrative staff. My work is exciting but very hectic \u2013 at the ESTC we have 400 students (that includes 230 taking face-to-face courses, 110 studying remotely and 60 applying for validation of previous experience). Our students are enrolled in BTS (post-secondary), bachelor\u2019s and master\u2019s programmes in communications, marketing and human resources.
