General Director of Education for the ICOGES Group and Director of the ICOGES Paris campus, Jean Michel Riob\u00e9 chose to dedicate his vast professional experience to teaching students. Meet this former food-sector manager who went on to catch the education bug\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n

What did you study?\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n

I have a master\u2019s-level degree in marketing, a research degree, and a DESS CAAE (Certificat d\u2019Aptitudes \u00e0 l\u2019Administration des Entreprises) degree from the Institut d\u2019Administration des Entreprises, Nantes (France) \u2013 this last qualification no longer exists; it is now called an MBA.<\/p>\n

What have been the highlights of your career?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Having worked as a successful food-industry sales representative, I went on to become manager of a profit centre before opening a credit management firm. I managed the firm for ten years then handed it over to my wife. As part of my work I gave a number of talks at universities and colleges, which is how I first came into contact with ICOGES. I began working for our Group as a teacher, then progressed to the role of Director.<\/p>\n

What exactly does the role of Director involve?<\/strong><\/p>\n

As Director of our Paris campus I am in charge of more than 100 students. That said, our Group (which has existed for over 30 years now) also has campuses in Angers and Lyon. In addition to ensuring excellent teaching and a first-rate student experience, ICOGES aims for variety: we offer programmes from BTS (French post-secondary vocational qualification) to master\u2019s level. Our programmes focus squarely on the contemporary job market.<\/p>\n

What was your experience of the recent FEDE General Assembly?<\/strong><\/p>\n

It was wonderful to share our various experiences and ideas, and I really enjoyed the friendly atmosphere. The General Assembly is a real highlight of the FEDE\u2019s calendar.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
