For its 2024 General Assembly, the FEDE has chosen Barcelona, one of Europe’s most enchanting cities, renowned for its architectural innovation, cultural richness, and distinguished reputation in design, creative industries, and sports.

Our 2024 General Assembly took place entirely in person on the 3 and 4 April at Catalonia Plaza Catalunya Hotel. Situated on the emblematic Plaça de Catalunya, in the heart of the city, this hotel was built by one of Gaudí’s apprentices and is a fine example of Barcelona architecture.

KEY EVENTS

Adoption of the new FEDE Quality Charter

On 4 April, the FEDE celebrated the unanimous adoption of the new quality charter, aligns with the standards of European recommenadtions. This update reflects progress in implementing the quality approach in higher education, including the development of qualification frameworks and student-centred pedagogy.

FEDE Human Rights Prize

Once again this year, students from all over the world shared innovative and inspiring projects.

For the first time, award winners attended our General Assembly in Barcelona to receive well-deserved recognition for their achievements. We would particularly like to congratulate the winners, whose excellence and creativity make a significant contribution to our shared mission.

Three workshops debates with experts

Workshop 1: Educational engineering & AI- John Ayoun

Why, and how, as a higher education professor, can we benefit from generative AI and shield students from its risks?

Workshop 2: Leadership & AI – John Ayoun

How can we adapt this technology to the management style, to the size and to the context of each institution? n an ever-changing world, in which generative AI is shaping new realities in all sectors, institution directors are facing a societal revolution, where young people are driving a change in era.

Workshop 3: Modern Leadership – Anthony Mahé

how we can rethink leadership in a world where human relationships prevail over egos? Anthony Mahé will shed light on the evolution of modern society, and on the growing importance of communities, at a time when social ties are crucial.
