RENDEZ-VOUS 5 TO 7 APRIL 2023 IN MILAN

The key event of the 2023 General Assembly (our annual general meeting), to take place in Milan from 5 to 7 April, will be the election of the members of the Committee and Executive Council for the upcoming four years. The Committee and Executive Council are the FEDE’s main governing bodies and play the lead role in developing our federation’s strategy and taking decisions for our network of over 500 educational institutions.

In accordance with the FEDE’s Statutes and Rules of Procedure, calls for candidacy will be mailed to all our member institutions in January 2023.

Candidates will be asked to introduce themselves to their colleagues on Wednesday 5 April, during the General Assembly. Voting will take place in person.

The votes will be counted, and the results announced, on the Wednesday evening, directly after voting has taken place.

Candidacy: All full members, provided that they have held FEDE membership for at least two full years and have paid their 2022 membership fees, may stand as a candidate for a seat on the Committee or Executive Council.

Voting rights: All full members and observer-full members, provided that they have paid their 2022 membership fees, may vote and may cast a proxy vote on behalf of other FEDE members. A given member may not cast proxy votes for more than three other members.

Dear members and colleagues,

This year’s FEDE General Assembly will take place in Milan on wednesday 5 April 2023 at 3PM to 7:30PM. During the GA, and in keeping with Articles 13,14 and 15 of the Statutes, elections will be held to choose members of the Executive Council and Committee.

Executive Council elections for the following positions:

  • 1 Chairperson,
  • 3 Vice-Chairpersons,
  • 1 Secretary General,
  • 1 Treasurer,
  • 2 Members.

– Election Committee Members

  • Members of the Committee will be elected in accordance with Article 13 of the Rules of Procedure, which sets out the number of representatives per country (see enclosed document).

Those wishing to stand for election are asked to send their candidacy application to the FEDE’s General Delegate, Maxime Gioannini (maxime.gioannini@fede.org) , Lyon office. In accordance with Article 12a of the Rules of Procedure, candidacy applications will not be accepted unless they reach the FEDE one month prior to the General Assembly – that is, by 5 March 2023.

Please also note that Article 12a prohibits candidates from standing for more than one position simultaneously.

The candidacies received by the FEDE, along with each candidate’s election pledges, will be sent to FEDE members two weeks prior to the General Assembly, by 20 March 2023.
