François Ventulono: A multi talented anaesthetist and intensive care resuscitator

Among the panel of experts of the FEDE, François Venutolo is an anaesthetist and intensive care resuscitator who wears many hats!

Here is the proof in three questions.

What was your field of study ?

I am a Doctor of Medicine, and I hold certificates of studies specializing in anesthesia-surgical resuscitation and also in biology and sports medicine. In addition, I also hold a university degree in health sciences and communication and I am a former student of the l’école de management pour les médecins des hôpitaux (School of management for hospital doctors). In 2013 I was awarded the “La médaille d ‘or du Ministère de la Jeunesse et des Sports” (The gold medal award of the Ministry of Youth and Sports) for services rendered to the French federation for Underwater Sports.

What is your current position?

I am the president of the Medical Committee of the Gonesse Hospital; previously I was in the hospital, as head of the emergency department. In addition I am also a captain within the “sapeurs pompiers” (Emergency services/firefighters) and a member of the French college of anaesthetists and intensive care anaesthetists. Finally, I also verify and oversee the health, hygiene and security for the “Club Méditerrané”

Do you have teaching activities?

Since 1998 I have been a member of the pedagogical council of university diplomas and of the diploma of physiology of the Descartes University in Paris. I am also a teaching doctor at the university of talents of the Mediterranean club; I often participate as a member of the juries responsible for the judging of diplomas of anaesthetists assistants and I am also a speaker in “Des écoles d’art” (Schools of Art) where I talk  about the management of stress as someone who  has worked, and does work in the emergency  context, so it’s something about which I know a few things …
